iMQ Achieves the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP) Certification

Date:2023/03/01

2023-03-01, Hsinchu, Taiwan - iMQ, the innovator of embedded microcontrollers and security ICs, has announced that the crypto engines of SQ series has achieved the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP) Certification. This certification is based on the state-of-the-art cryptographic standard, FIPS 140-3, and includes the DRBG, AES, SHA2, ECDSA and HMAC cryptographic algorithms. The certified cryptographic algorithms have been implemented in iMQ security series products, including the SQ7101/SQ7103, SQ7131, SQ7705 and SQ7515. NIST official website: IMQ Certifications

CAVP The CAVP is a program that tests the implementation of cryptographic algorithms and validates the strength and security of those algorithms for use in Federal agencies and organizations. In order to pass the CAVP, iMQ had to demonstrate that it meets the stringent requirements set out by NIST.

"We are proud to announce that iMQ has passed NIST CAVP certification, “said Bo Cheng, CEO of iMQ. “This provides our customers with the assurance that iMQ is a secure, reliable and trusted security solution provider.”

The CAVP is a rigorous program that requires extensive testing and validation, which demonstrates iMQ’s commitment to provide secure, reliable security ICs. iMQ is dedicated to developing and delivering security solutions to its customers, and this certification is a testament to that commitment.
