Augentix, a leading provider of chip design and multimedia solutions, and iMQ Technology, an expert in secure elements, jointly announced today that the IP camera integration solution developed by both companies has officially passed the STQC certification from India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). This milestone paves the way for the two companies to enter India’s growing smart city and public surveillance market with fully integrated solutions that meet stringent local regulations and high security standards.
The STQC-certified solution integrates Augentix's high-performance SoC platform (HC1705K) with iMQ Technology's SQ7131S secure element, which features identity authentication, secure communication, and real-time OTA (over-the-air) updates. It also supports seamless integration with third-party security software, offering a comprehensive, chip-level security architecture. This integrated solution enables device manufacturers to accelerate product deployment while ensuring full compliance with Indian regulatory requirements—enhancing both product competitiveness and market credibility.
As the development of the Internet of Things and smart cities accelerates, demand for IP cameras in fields such as traffic management, public safety, and smart buildings continues to rise. Accordingly, requirements for image data security are becoming increasingly stringent.
